In summary:
- ONE YEAR DOWN: Year one of grad school is finished, and I can start to say I’m going into my second year of grad school with 9 courses complete and am starting to update my portfolio with some of the design work I’ve completed at school;
- Filming achievement unlocked: Major project for my first year studio is done (screen captures above) involving film production and editing for a Speculative Design project taught by Dunne and Raby;
- Thesis-ing: Getting closer to formulating ideas around my thesis, which is still most likely civic design related. More soon, as active blogging will happen.
- Material Designing: Finishing up user experience design work for Euphoria Records, where I’m building the design work for an Android mobile app using Material Design;
- Why TransD: A colleague in the TransD program, Gui Curi, has written an excellent summary of his experiences in the program in ‘Why Transdisciplinary Design?’. It’s a great reflection on what the program does, and I hope to follow up in response to what he’s written. It’s also nice to share pictures of our studio space and work with the outside world, as it’s been a home away from home for many, many weekends for me during this year.
- And of course, enjoying summer (my favourite season), and hoping it’s not a humid one.
I’m currently open to summertime opportunities and look forward to helping a new clients with their challenges – so contact me if you’re interested, or just want to see the movie showing the future of driverless technologies, wearables and dashboards.
